Until very recently, Marsa Alam was just a small fishing village on the west coast of the Red Sea, but since the opening of International Airport in 2001, it has become the rising star of Egypt holidays. Even with increasing development, Marsa Alam’s distance from Hurghada makes it the ideal destination for a peaceful, relaxing holiday in Egypt.  Although it remains relatively undiscovered for now, a flood of investment funding new hotel and leisure development is set to transform the area in to a vibrant, world renowned, Egypt package holiday destination.
