The Tania is the second ship operating in Lake Nasser with an itinerary that includes a four-night trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel and a three-night trip from Abu Simbel back to Aswan.  There’s no better way to experience the spectacular archaeological remains, sights and scenery of ancient Upper Egypt than a voyage aboard this cosy and intimate boat.

She is the smallest of the Travcotels fleet, measuring approximately 60 metres in length, and is the only vessel that carries a Four-star rating. Split over three levels, Tania offers a lake Nasser cruise with a highly personalised touch. Tastefully decorated, she carries an ambiance of warmth and comfort, yet still provides excellent service.  The Tania features a round-the-clock reception service as well as international telephone and fax (availabile against charge in Aswan and Abu Simbel only) with a meeting space available if the ship is fully chartered.

Accommodation

Accommodation is on full-board basis with a daily tea time service that includes serving snacks and cakes.  The Tania provides just 28 comfortable cabins.

• 2 Double cabins and 1 single are located on the upper deck
• 12 Double cabins sited on the main deck
• 13 Double cabins on the lower level Nile deck

All accommodation is 14 m ² in size and is fully air-conditioned (individually controlled).  Cabins also feature:

• Private W/C, shower and hairdryer.
• Satellite TV (available only when docked) and music system.
• Safe for storing valuables
• Mini bar
• Complete laundry facilities

The ship’s main restaurant can accommodate all passengers in one sitting.   Our onboard chefs prepare international buffet style cuisine for all main meals but you also have the opportunity to taste local dishes and flavours. The luxurious and spacious lounge on the twin level Sun deck has a convivial bar serving beers, fine wines and soft drinks or you could choose to relax by the pool bar sipping refreshing and imaginative cocktails.

The swimming pool and pool bar are located on the large twin level Sun deck and you’ll find parasols and loungers for your comfort and relaxation as well as massage service and fitness equipment if you feel more energetic.  A gift shop on board will supply treasured souvenirs or you can indulge yourself in the beauty salon.  (open twice weekly on request in Luxor and Aswan).

The Tania cruises the Upper Nile and Lake Nasser

The 3 night/ 4 day Abu Simbel -Aswan cruise programme consists of:

Day 1.   Check in and visit the temples of Abu Simbel.
Day 2.  Sail to Kasr Ibrim where you can view from the sun deck.  Sail on to Amada and visit the Amada temple.  Sail on to Wadi Elsebou where you will overnight.
Day 3.  Visit Wadi El Seboua before sailing on to Aswan.  Overnight in Aswan.
Day 4.  Visit the Kalabsha temple and Beit El Wali before checking out and disembarking.

The 4 night/5 day Aswan-Abu Simbel cruise programme consists of:

Day 1.    Check in and familiarise yourself with the vessel.
Day 2.  Sail to Kalabsha.  Visit the Kalabsha temple and Beit El Wali.  Sail on to Wadi Elsebou and overnight.
Day 3.  Visit Wadi El Seboua temple before sailing on to Amada and touring the Amada temple.  Overnight in Amada.  
Day 4.  Easy sail to Sail to Kasr Ibrim where you can view from the sun deck.    Sail on to Abu Simbel and visit the twin temples.  Overnight at Abu Simbel.
Day 5.  Check out and disembark
